Chapter 1: From Fashion to Fudge

For most of my career, I've thrived in the fast-paced world of sales. After attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, I spent two decades in the fashion industry, climbing the ranks from intern to merchandiser to field manager. It was a whirlwind of trends, deadlines, and the constant thrill of the sale.

But as fulfilling as it was, a different kind of passion started bubbling up – a passion for my own ideas and creations to be seen, loved, and coveted. All I kept thinking was “Life is short. Make it sweet!”

This passion may have stemmed from childhood birthday parties overflowing with sugary treats. Perhaps it was driven by the pure joy that a perfectly crafted piece of chocolate can bring. It was a definite sign one fateful day on Nantucket when our family was informed that we’d purchased more candy than a “certain celebrity family” visiting the island.

Whatever the reasons, in 2019, I decided to take a leap and combine my love for candy, my sales experience, and a good dose of creativity into something new. And thus, Shatz’s Sugar Shack was born.

Chapter 2: Well, Well, Well!

What started as a simple online candy shop has grown into something even sweeter!

For the past three years, we’ve had the joy of serving customers from all over, delivering the treats and nostalgic favorites you know and love right to your door.

Thanks to your support, we’re excited to take the next big step in our journey—opening our very first brick-and-mortar store!

This new space lets us bring the magic of our online shop to life. Not only will you find all the candies and goodies you’ve come to expect from us, but we’ll also be expanding our selection to include even more delicious treats, unique finds, and in-store exclusives.
